Maison Martin Margiela For H&M

Antwerp Six meets Japanese deconstructivism. That would be the landmarks which could describe best the incredible Maison Martin Margiela. A new era was born back in the '80s when non-traditional design and innovative manufacturing technique met a rather snobbish fashion scene.
The collaboration with H&M marks a true evolution and a sort of maturity of the Swedish mass-market brand. In the latest collaborations, we have seen excess at Versace and Anna dello Russo, versatile prints at Marni and now the mysterious house of Margiela it’s up to raise a new standard.

THE COLLECTION:
Every piece it’s a re-edition of iconic MMM pieces over the last 23 years since the house’s founding (the exact collection can be seen on the tag of every piece).
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Iconic oversize silhouettes, linings, seams and hems on the outside, skirts with trousers, draped dresses, eccentric accessories such as key rings, locks of hair, faceless watches, giant candy wrapping clutches.
WHAT TO BUY:
I know you’re thinking that the pieces don’t work for your body type or that you need to be really tall or really skinny to wear them…I recommend you to try them on, you will be surprised. Too daring? Go with the accessories!

I personality love the collection and might be my all time favorite collaboration from H&M!
Here are some pictures from the H&M showroom.
Big kiss to our hosts Diana&Ruxandra!

*The collection will be available starting November 15.
